Sonia Parechanian

After a career of analyzing corporate strategies and observing a structural shift in employment in the US from long-term roles toward the “gig” society, Sonia shifted her focus to those creating the jobs for the future. Known for thinking out of the box and willingness to challenge the status quo, Sonia immersed herself into the frontier of startups and circles of creatives, boot campers and developers. She discovered a gap in resources for entrepreneurs to take their ideas to the next level as those with the funds and those in need of the funds speak different languages. Then she discovered TIE, a field for future stars to deliver and network their “pitch” with supportive mentorship from the community – a place she knew she belonged.

Sonia has over 15 years experience advising institutional investors and management teams as an equity analyst and institutional salesperson at Citigroup, ING Financial Markets, Swiss Re/Fox-Pitt and Standard & Poor’s/S&P Capital IQ. Prior to her career in financial services, Sonia was an engineer at McDonnell Douglass/Boeing and Hughes Space & Communications. In her spare time she is an active Volunteer and member of the Board of Eve’s Sanctuary Animal Rescue, a well known NYC-based 501c3. Sonia has an MBA with a concentration in finance and International emphasis from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara.
